Blocks & Quoins Sydney

At the corners of walls, you will find masonry blocks, these are referred as Quoins. In certain cases, they are there to offer real toughness for a wall that is constructed with low-grade stone or rubble. In certain other cases, it exists to create an attribute of a corner, producing a feeling of stability and power, and making stronger the viewer's sense of a structure's presence.

On stone or brick constructions, typically stone quoins are used. Brick quoins may become noticeable on brick constructions that force out from the facing brickwork in such a way as to bestow the look of consistently cut blocks of stone larger than the bricks.
